Default turn signal hazard brake light problem

just went to auto zone with my sisters chevy s-10 pickup to resolve lighting / night time street legality issues.

new front right turn signal (not the bumper one) new plate light, and new plate light + socket ordered but burnt out light was pulled.

upon finding the hazard switch was broken off i pushed in with my pinky. now the turn signals don't work, and the brakes light up the turn signal indicators and all the front turn signals and back brake signals simultaneously. (i do do a little electrical engineering but im not a car person. i suspect shorting. im more along the lines of computer science and drafting governance models than fixing cars.)

a similar issue happened to my sisters impala so i decided to post in general tech. the impala issue is just no turn signals.

Default

probably need a multifunction switch if it was broken off and the problems started after you tried to get it to work
