2000 IMPALA OIL PAN 3.4L
Hey guys, I'm glad I finally found a place to ask about my new car, well the story is I just bought a 2000 impala 3400 (3.4) and is in need of an oil pan all the places here in canada have quoted me at $350.00 since is a dealer only part according to the after market parts stores.
Anyways I want to know if the 3.8L oil panwill fit the 3.4L engine, since most aftermarket stores here have it for $112.00, and in stock, is there a big difference between the two engine models?
Any help will be greatly appreciated thank you.

i know the one on a 3.4 is a cast aluminum pan, and the one on the 3.8 is a stamped steel pan. i think your best bet would be to locate one at a salvage yard and get the one that is for the 3.4

I just looked on gmpartsdirect.com and it appears that the pan with shipping brand new is about $127.37
the part # I came up with is 12512670
a search found this on ebay..... seems it fits multiple cars.

by the way- it seems the pan for the 3.8 has a different number 12563240
please double check yourself.
