Default 2007 impala mix/blend

I'm new here and hopefully this is the right section for this.

I have a 2007 Impala. There's an annoying clicking and thumping sound coming from the dash. I know it's the mix blend motor. I just now replaced the one doing the clicking behind the glove box, but learned there's another one back there doing the thumping... Yay! Now, the one that was clicking is still clicking even with the new motor.

Anyone have any idea why?

The other one is the outside control from what I understand. Would one cause another to not work properly?

Default Temp Valve Actuator Replacement

Welcome to the forum....

The only advice I could think of is be sure that the motor shaft is in the same alignment as the one removed and or aligned with the actuator itself....

Thanks.

I'll pull it off and see. It did slide right on with no problems though.

Default Possibility

If its on the passenger side its the fresh air/circulate louver on top of the cabin air filter housing. Mines kept doing it and I happened to unplug it and that annoying whine and thump went away

I did the search on Google yesterday on this very annoyance. I thought of resolveing this by pulling fuses. Got out my '08 Impala owners manual and then made plans to hit the Chev forum this AM.

My gearhead mentality of over 50 years had been diagnose the problem, repair / replace it. I will by pass that effort and unplug that annoying thump.
I will disable it, but find a position that will give me the air circulate option.
