Default 2010 Chevy Malibu OnStar Module Location

Hello,
I've searched online, but can't find the answer.

Does anyone know the location of the OnStar module in a 2010 Chevy Malibu?

Thanks in advance!

It should be in the trunk behind the sill plate (tail light panel.)

On the 2010 Malibu, the trunk contains a fuse block, RCDLR module, speakers, and amplifier if equipped. What "sill plate" are you referring to?

I just checked behind the panel with the rear lights and I don't see it there. I checked both quarter panels and under the rear seat. I still can't find the thing...

Hi Tyger,
I removed the plastic insert that covers the rear tail lights and trunk latch mechanism and I could not find the unit. I'll check again, are you sure its there?
Thanks for your responses.

Default Still can't find it...

I'm getting very frustrated. I've looked everywhere and searched online. I can not find the Onstar module. I would very greatly appreciate it if someone could tell me where the stupid thing is hiding.

Thanks.

Jeez, I wish I didn't have to see that so as casual thieves wouldn't either. You know, for the stolen vehicle recovery function as I have posted in thread https://chevroletforum.com/forum/hhr...e5/#post194850:
