Cool 1992 chevy truck 4.3 gas in the oil ???

I have a 92 chevy. 4.3 TBI . that is getting alot of gas in the oil. It wont start. It trys but doesn't. I am getting alot of gas in the oil. I thought fuel pressure regulator or injectors. I changed out the whole throttle body with injectors. Still gas in the oil. Things I have done...1 compression check around 120 per cylinder. 2 Ran a jumper wire on my obd1 and the only fault code is 33 ( map sensor ). but i tested the voltage on the map sensor and it seemed to work ok ( i had a voltage change when vacuum applied to sensor. Any ideas anyone ??

Welcome to the forum. Did you used to get fuel in the crankcase before? Are you getting spark, nice and bluish? If not, maybe it's just getting flooded.

Well, I read your post went to the truck and pulled the number plug on number 1. it is getting fire but not a real good spark. I even swaped out the spark plug with a new one...looked them same. I held the end of the plug to the engine to ground it. not very good spark with the old or new plug. I could hold the whole plug away from the engine about an inch and it would jump spark that far. ???

Arc across an inch of air doesn't really prove anything. The spark across the spark plug gap should be bluish bright (shows a high energy discharge) to do any good. You'll probably want to bring out your multimeter and check your ignition components.

How many ignition components are there ? I was looking at this website Part 1 -Ignition Control Module (ICM) Test: GM 4.3L, 5.0L, 5.7L. is this how I should check it ?? This says 95 and older this truck is a 92 are the components the same ? I believe you are correct the spark I am getting is not enough to ignite the gas and the fuel is just going down the cylinder wall to the oil pan. I hope this is what it is....I have my fingers crossed

I don't think so. You may want to sign up for free repair information at AutoZone.com or paid online subscription to alldatadiy.com or eautorepair.net. They're worth every penny.

You said "120" before which is on the low side but not alarmingly. It may make it run rough if there's too much variance between cylinders but should not prevent the engine from starting.
