Default 2008 shackle install question

I am wanting to lower my rear end with a shackle kit, 2 wheel drive with more performance styling than off road look, so I do not want to raise front end. My question is, do you need to do anything special to get the bolts out of the old shackles/leaf springs, such as loosen bed bolts to raise it up enough to get everything out. Or is it just an easy drop them out and remove and replace install.
Thanks for any advice/help.

There is a butt joint where the bed panels meet together under the bed you have to fold out of the way, you'll see what I mean when you get there
It is a pain
The other thing it you have to remove the towing hitch

I just removed the blocks out of the rear to drop it a little over an inch
On my 08' I did shackles and it took a few hours
