3500 Silverado 7.4 Flowmaster
Hey Folks! I searched the forums for an answer but I'm getting pretty vague info. For you owners of the 88-98 3500 trucks with 454's, what flowmaster do you have if you have one? Every site I go to order one from says I need a dual in/dual out but clearly my exhaust is dual in/single out. Any help would be fantastic.

This might not be what you are looking for, but my exhaust is dual in dual out, but directly after the exit pipes there is a joint that compresses it down to one pipe.

......Muffler
this is the best diagram i could do.. but there is an insert that cuts it back to a single pipe after the dual out

Hey JMaster!
Many Chevy 454 owners have true dualed their engine exhaust, which means their muffler must be a dual-in/dual(or single, depending on whether they dualed their tips)-out.
The cool thing about flowmaster is that they create almost any type of muffler you want! Dual-in, dual-out, single-in, single-out in any combination you want. Your job is to simply decide how loud you want your truck to be. HINT HINT, lower number Flowmasters, like the Super 10,40, and 44, are louder.
I owned a Flowmaster 70 series, dual-in/dual-out, for my first aftermarket muffler. It sounded great wasn't loud enough for my standards. I now have dual glasspacks which sound amazing in my opinion.
If you really wanted a good sound with a bit of noise, I'd go with this muffler: Flowmaster 50 SERIES DELTA FLOW MUFFLERS
Happy hunting!
