Default changed tie rods on both sides and still clunks?

i did tie rods on both sides, idler and pitman arms, and my steering box. i noticed there is some play in the rag joint but will that cause a clunk? what else could cause a clunk in the front end? 92 chevy silverado 1500 4x4 z71
