Default Issues with trailer wiring

Hey guys,

I have a problem with my truck. The trucks lighting all works fine. The trailer lighting is another thing. I am having some weird issues.

2004 Silverado 2500

Right side running light always light (always)
Both sides flash when using left turn signal (sometimes)
Right side flashes with left turn signal (sometimes)
Turn signals and brakes work, no running lights

Again, the trucks lighting is all fine, no problems.

This trailer works perfect when hooked up to my van.

I am using a new 7 pin to 4 pin adapter, tried using others with no better results.

Thanks!!

Default wiring

hello ! first off is it a factory plug on the truck ?if has is the trailer plug been changed or will the trailer work on another truck ok ?kinda sound's like there is a issue with one or the other plug ,like wire,s put on the connector pin or there are strand's splayed out from one or another pin's in the plug and shorting accross .the easest way to check is to try a proven trailer on your truck and a different truck on your trailer .

Bad ground between the trailer and the truck.

The harness/plug are factory.

The trailer works fine on my Chevy 3500 van, as well as my Jeep.

Does anyone know where the factory harness plugs into the truck? Wondering if I just need to replace the whole trailer harness. Everything on the truck operates fine, just the trailer side stuff is weird.

That would be where I'd start looking.
