Default (PLEASE HELP!!.. At whits end) Service Stabilitrak / Service Traction Control/read on

I HAVE A 2007 NEW BODY STYLE SILVERADO 1500 WITH THE 4.8 LITER. FOR SOME TIME NOW I HAVE HAD THE ISSUE WITH THE STABILITRAK LIGHT AND SEVICE TRACTION CONTROL MESSAGE COMING UP REQUESTING SERVICE. IT ONLY DOES IT WHEN THE TRUCK IS AT IDLE, AT A STOP LIGHT ECT... WHEN THIS HAPPENS AND YOU ACCEL THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS LIKE A DRAGSTER FROM FIRST TO SECOND GEAR AND THEN LIGHTS GO OFF AND TRUCK RUNS FINE. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ALSO FLASHES WHEN THE MESSAGE COMES UP. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON ALL THE TIME. I HAVE READ MANY FORUMS ON THIS ISSUE AND HAVE GOT 100s OF DIFFERENT ANSWERS. THE ONLY AFTER MARKET PART I HAVE IS A COLD INDUCTION K&N FILTER. I WOULD TURN TO THIS BUT ITS BEEN ON THERE SINCE THE TRUCK WAS NEW. IT NOW HAS 150,000 MILES ON IT. ANY SUGGESTIONS OR FEEDBACK WOULD BE APPRECIATED. CHANGED SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES. UPDATE.. I AM ABOUT AT MY WHITS END WITH THIS ISSUE . I FIND SEVERAL POST WITH SAME ISSUE BUT NONE HAVE A FOR SURE KNOWN SOLUTION OR FIX. I READ ONE POST FROM A GUY THAT SAID IT WAS A DIOD IN THE WIRING HARNESS BACK TOWARDS THE BED WHERE IT CONJOINS INTO THE WIRING FOR TRAILER LIGHTS. ALSO READ ABOUT WIRING HARNESS ISSUE BY DRIVERS SIDE REAR SHOCK BRACKET RUBBING. STILL HAVE ISSUE AND NO SOLUTIONS. THE CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP CHARGED ME 1300.00 AND THEN WANTED 1200.00 MORE BUT COYLDNT TELL ME WHAT WAS WRONG. THAT TELLS ME THEY DIDN'T KNOW EITHER. I CAN GUESS AND THROW PARTS AT IT ALL DAY LONG MYSELF.... HELP.. HELP... HELP...

Have you tried cleaning antilock wheel sensors?

Did you recently clean and re-oil your K&N air filter?

If you did I will tell you why your having issues.

No I have not tried this. I will do so and see if it helps. Wouldn't that trigger the anti lock light on though?

I have cleaned it and oiled it but I was having this issue before hand. The filter has 155,000 miles on it. I wonder If changing it would help? At this point lll try anything.. What was your concern with the oil on the filter? It sucking oil deposits in to mass air flow?

I didn't see your response until now.Yes if the Filter is over oiled it can wreak havoc on the MAF sensor.

Personally I think oiled filters should be used on Carberated engines only.

This sensor controls and relates to just about everything.It is probably the most critical part of the Fuel injection system besides the 02 sensors.

Try cleaning it with spray cleaner designed just for it.K&N cold air kits are a little low in the quality department(not the element itself) so check connections for leaks etc.

Worth a try.

FINALLY FIXED, "SERVICE STABILITRAK & TRACTION CONTROL DIAGNOSTIC PROBLEM:
"SERVICE STABILITRAK",
"SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL",
"HARD SHIFT 1-2 GEARS"-(STABILITRAK TURNING OFF-CLUNK NOISE)
"STABILITRAK OFF",
"TRACTION CONTROL OFF"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CAUSE:
FUEL WAS 45% ETHANOL @ 85-(COSTCO GAS)-COMPUTER WENT INTO LIMP MODE CAUSING (AFM) TO GET STUCK AND NOT RESET COMPUTER.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SOLUTION:
DRAINED & CLEANED GAS TANK-
CHANGED FUEL FILTERS (*ONLY IF NEEDED)
CLEANED INJECTORS-
RESET COMPUTER-
FILLED GAS TANK WITH NO ETHANOL- (Ethanol-free gas stations in the U.S. and Canada)
TOTAL AMOUNT WITH TAX: $444.86

THEY DESERVE TO CALL OUT GM ON THIS AND IF YOU FIND THE RIGHT LAYWER SUE THE EFF OUT OF THEM FOR CHARGING YOU FOR REPAIRS THAT DONT SOLVE THE ISSUE
UPSELLING REPAIRS THAT DONT SOLVE THE PROBLEM IS A CROOKED WAY TO MAKE FOOLS OFF CONSUMERS

I have the same issues but my truck won’t shift. We’re you experiencing that issue at all? It wouldn’t shift out of third…the check engine light will start blinking…Stabilitrack, and Traction lights are on…then when it finally catches they go away and it runs fine. That’s my issue. Every day.
