Power Steering Vibration
New to your forums and apologize for not being a member sooner. I rarely work on my Chevies as they are the newest vehicles I own but I have a question about my truck so here goes.
2004 Z71 Crew Cab 5.3L
I bought the truck new and have had it it's entire life. Right after the warranty was up it started making a kind of noise when turning left with a slight vibration in the steering wheel. The noise is simular to that of a power steering pump low on oil or turned all the way and held at the end stop. Vibration is only when turning left. I have read alot about an intermediate Steering shaft but seems I recall a dealership a while back saying something about a know problem with the pumps. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

the intermediate shaft makes a clunk/pop that you feel in the steering wheel not a vibration, how many miles are on it? and have you checked the fluid level/condition yet?
