Problems with a edelbrock carb adjustment on a 350 chevy motor

Hi all, Got a Question i havea 1986 chevy silverado( as you can see in the picture :P ) Anyways i'm having a issue with my edelbrock carb, when i bought the truck the four barrels wasn't kicking in and i notice the linkage was loose now that i have the 4 barrels kicking in, it seems to hesitate on a slow idle. Take upp and everything seems fine just when u hold the petal down enough to raise the idol a touch it seems to have a spudder. What could be the problem the air mixture is set at 2 1/2 and 2 1/2. is that right? Not sure on the model number of the edelbrock carb. Please Help
