I am rebuilding a '79 gmc 1500 high sierra 4x4 basically from the ground up. Im using the 305 out of my camaro and im thinking about replacing that old th350 with the 700r out of the camaro too, because it has overdrive and is in perfect working order.
Would this transmission bolt up to the standard trans mounts already on the frame? Is there much of a size difference between the th350 and the th700?
A more pressing issue is weather or not i can use the stock front and rear driveshafts and have enough room for the transfer case.
Can anyone help me with this?
Thank you for any information or links to info. that may help me out
