We have a 2008 silverado and when we are driving it will shut down. whenwe try to start it again nothing happens. then after about 5 min it starts again. My husband can turn it off then go to try and start it and it will not start. He changed the battery but not sure what it can be. the Code that comes up is for a transmission module but we believe different codes comes up when running and not running. has anyone else had this problem if so how was it fixed. it is now just out of warranty so we are trying to fix it ourselves. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check fuel, air, spark. But it almost sounds like it's seeing the vehicle in park or something. Would you mind giving the exact code?

One code says Engine power is reduced, Service traction control and Service Stabilitrak. When we get On star to run code it is P0604.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
