Default Vibrations

Replaced all 3 u-joints and the center support bearing in my 96 extended cab 1/2 ton 2wd. All 3 u-joints went in with no problems as did the support bearing. There was no vibration before I changed out the parts and now I have a noticeable vibration 45 to 65 mph. What did I do wrong? I am clueless at this time. I have done this job on other trucks with no problems so I'm sure I got it right...Help!

Regards,
Junk

I'd guess you "clocked" or "phased" the shaft wrong, did you mark how it lined up before you disassembled?

I checked the carrier bearing and it seems to be in position and lined up with the drive line. I have access to a lift tomorrow and I will turn the drive shaft 180 degrees. I marked the shaft but the guy that was assisting me put the shaft up in the rear and he missed the marks I left on the rear yokes. ...Live and learn...Dumb mistake on my part.

Thanks for your reply

Turns out the center support bearing was defective...it will be replaced with another one and I hope this one is good...
