Default when replacing head gasket...

I am rebuilding a 96 15090 v6. When replacing the head gasket, is it recommended to also replace the head bolts?

All the information I have read it is recommended to replace the head bolts. Judgement call on your part. If the head bolts are pitted baldy from coolant then definite yes. I have rebuilt engines in the past and used the same bolts and have also replaced them, your call but it is recommended they are replaced.
