Hey all. I got a 2011 1500 Silverado. It came with the black cloth seats and all black interior. I really love the leather seats that are available in other models. I just couldnt afford them at the time.

What is my best route in getting leather seats. I was thinking about bringing them to an upholstery place and putting leather seats in...

Or should I get them through the chevy dealer i bought my truck at?? The dealers price was obviously ridiculously high compared to the upholstery place near me.

What is an average price to get the complete truck done in leather seating. Maybe I can talk to the chevy dealer about getting the best price.

Get leather seat covers...that way when you want you can take them off or keep em on. Dealer is gonna rape you on prices

If the shop is skilled and reputable they can make you a custom seatcover cheaper than the deal stuff. YOu will have a choice of designs using button, pleats diamonds or what ever. You can save yourself some money by only using leather on the actual seat and back wear areas. Then do the sides with matching vinyl. This is the way a lot of the leather seats are in the cars anyaway.
