Braided EGR Hose Help
Hello. Need a little help.
I am trying to get the coil off on a 96 K2500 GMC Suburban 7.4L. That alone is a chore.
There is an EGR hose on the driver side exhaust manifold that goes into the intake manifold near the EGR valve. That hose is blocking access to the left side bolt to get the bracket that holds the coil.
I can't tell how the hose is susposed to be disconnected. It looks like a typical hose fitting like the ones used for power steering. Only bigger - 1-7/8" wrench.
Anyone have experience with this hose- it is covered with a braided steel.

Got it
Used penetrating oil and large wrenches, a friend and a pipe as a helper. Came off as expected. Made a big difference being able to reach the left side bolt to get the coil bracket off.
