Default Power Steering and Brake Failure

My wifes 2000 Suburban just lost it's power steering and brakes tonight. Should I be looking at the power steering pump or brake booster? Anybody ever experience this? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you lost both power steering and power brakes at the same time most likely the truck has hydro boost. Instead of having a vacuum brake booster it use a hydraulic booster run off the power steering. I would suspect that your P/S fluid has all leaked out so you need to find out where it leaked from. If the fluid is still full then your pump may have stopped pumping. To tell if you have hydro boost look to see if the booster has 2 lines going to it tied into the power steering pump, or if it has a single vac lime going to it.
