Default Why can't dealer find my part?

On my 2016 Tahoe, the forward view camera has a short, which prevents function of the forward collision alert, the lane departure warning, and the hi-beam auto switch. This was diagnosed over a month ago my my dealership. Unfortunately, the dealer still tells me that the replacement camera remains unavailable, making a repair impossible. However, a quick internet search shows that this camera is available from several vendors, including GMPartsonline, GMParts Outlet, GenGMParts, and even some GM dealerships. If I can find the necessary part, why can't my dealership?

Wonder if I would fare any better at a competing GM dealersip? Hmmmmm.

Suggest you ask your dealer that question and then if they obfuscate, check with another dealer. You can always call a dealer's parts department and check.
