chevy uplander transmission problem?
Hello. I'm Jim. New to site.I have a 2008 uplander/ 3.9 v6. Automatic. When I start to accelerate, after a complete stop. I'm getting what feels like a slip in my drivers side front tire. There is also a vibration. The transmission seems to shift fine. I'm not feeling any slip once I get past the initial slip and vibration

How many miles on the vehicle? How long have you owned it? Has transmission been serviced?
I don't know what you mean by "a slip in my drivers side front tire" ?? .... how can it "slip" ?
Is the steering wheel vibrating or is the van vibrating?

Sorry about my description. I guess I could describe it as it feels like the drive tire is breaking traction. The vibration is more of a sound then something I feel. The van has will143000 miles on it. I bought it used with 23000 miles on it. Been a great van. Besides regular maintenance, no problems. I have had a fluid change a few times on the trans. Anyway. Thanks for your response. Guess I'm hoping not to have to buy a transmission. Ha ha. They are not cheap. Jim

I changed the filter & fluid at 60k miles and all looked good inside the tranny, minimal debris in the pan.
I feel quite confident that the transmission will last a long time.
If I was towing or carrying heavy loads in stop/go traffic I would have a cooler installed.

Did you ever find a solution to this? I've got a 2008 that is doing this. The traction control manager flashes a message briefly too. The car runs fine otherwise. It feels like some sort of electrical disorder as I've had a ton of them with this car (160k miles).
Looking to solve this, thanks!
