Chevy trucks and country music make the perfect pair. And now you can enjoy them together in one convenient place. Plus, Chevy wants you to help create the playlist!

Whether you’re a fan of country music or not, there’s no denying the fact that the genre and trucks go together like peanut butter and jelly. And over the last century, countless Chevy trucks have found their way into countless country songs. So, naturally, the automaker is using that very music as part of its Chevy Truck Centennial celebration by launching a curated Pandora station called Chevy Truck 100.

When you tune into the special channel, you’ll hear all of those legendary country songs referencing pickup trucks. And if you’re familiar with the genre, that’s pretty much every country song ever made (kidding, but it’s a lot!). Some are love songs referencing late night smooches at the local makeout spot. Others lament cruising around with the windows down on a Saturday night. And they’re all here.

‘For artists, many of us grew up riding in a Chevy truck, making it a natural way to tell the story of our experiences.’

“At its most basic level, every song tells a story, while the very best songs also make an emotional connection with the audience,” said legendary songwriter/producer Frank Rogers. “For artists, many of us grew up riding in a Chevy truck, making it a natural way to tell the story of our experiences. For our fans, a reference to a Chevy truck is something they can instantly relate to, helping make the story relevant to their life as well.”

Choosing the top 100 Chevy truck songs is obviously a difficult task. So, the automaker is asking fans for their input on the Chevy Trucks Facebook page. Be sure and crank up the tunes in your “brand new Chevy with a lift kit.” Because, as we already know, there’s just “somethin’ ‘bout a truck” and country music that go together perfectly!
