2024 SVE Yenko/SC Silverado Is an 800 HP Street Machine
Specialty Vehicle Engineering is back with the 700 or 800 hp Yenko/SC Silverado in both street machine and off-road configurations.
For years now, Specialty Vehicle Engineering has done everything from sell go-fast goodies to churning out specialty vehicles sold through GM dealers. SVE also utilizes the iconic Yenko name on a variety of models these days, keeping the muscle car alive and well for a new generation. However, SVE doesn’t just build Yenko Camaros, as its namesake once did – rather, it infuses a host of vehicles with copious amounts of power and style, and that list includes this – the new 2024 SVE Yenko/SC Silverado, which is available in two different flavors.
Regardless of which Yenko/SC Silverado one chooses to go with, SVE starts out with a 2024 two- or four-wheel-drive crew cab or double cab, LT, LTZ, RST, or High Country-trimmed pickup with either a short bed or standard bed. In terms of appearances, the muscle truck gets a set of Yenko/SC side stripes, a tailgate appliqué, unique wheels, and custom badges on the hood insert and tailgate.
There are many more options one can add from there, including body-color painted grille inserts, a bumper step delete, flat black painted mirror caps, a hard-folding tonneau cover, and much more. The interior gets some special touches as well, which include embroidered headrests, Yenko floor mats, and door sill plates.
Of course, the real star of this proverbial show is what powers the Yenko/SC Silverado – either a 5.3-liter V8 making 700 horsepower or a 6.2-liter pumping out 800 horsepower. Both of these powerplants utilize superchargers to reach that level of output and feature forged pistons, rods, beefed up heads, upgraded fuel systems, and a stainless steel catback exhaust system. Brembo brakes with six-piston calipers help slow the pickup down a bit faster than stock, too.
The 2024 Yenko/SC Silverado can be had as more of a street machine with the optional lowered sport suspension – which drops the pickup two inches in the front and five in the rear, adding Fox shocks – or as an off-road-focused model with a four-inch BDS lift kit and Fox shocks as well.
The kicker here is, SVE is only planning to build 50 of both the 700 and 800 horsepower guises of this unique vehicle, though for now at least, it hasn’t announced pricing. Regardless, we imagine that at least 100 people will be more than happy to shell out solid money for a powerful pickup bearing the legendary Yenko name.
