North Carolina’s Jerry & June Smith Collection Auction is chock-full of amazing Chevy trucks. Here are our 10 favorites slated to be at the event, March 22-24!
Auctions are exciting events for automotive enthusiasts, offering up a large platter of both drama and amazing vehicles. It’s why we spend entire weekends watching them, and even more time drooling over the seemingly endless array of classic Chevy trucks. Our latest obsession comes from the upcoming Jerry & June Smith Collection Auction. Taking place March 22-24 at Classic Cars at the Palace in Greensboro, North Carolina, this auction is long on amazing Chevy trucks worth a look. But we narrowed that number down to our ten favorites for your enjoyment. Try not to drool on your keyboard!
1978 Chevy C10
We’re suckers for any square body Chevy, but this C10 is extra special. Beneath that innocent and mostly stock sheetmetal lies a 502 cubic inch big block, effectively turning this classic ride into a super sleeper! Outside of some subdued but attractive aftermarket wheels, you’d never know what lurks under the hood!
1966 Chevy Custom
Who doesn’t love a nicely executed ’60s Chevy pickup? These are already some of the nicest looking trucks ever built, and this ’66 has received just the right amount of modern touches to make it even better. Big wheels, an aggressive stance, fresh chrome, and beautiful blue paint make it truly stand out on the outside. Comfy tan leather inside and a modern LS under the hood make the old truck a pleasure to drive, too!
1991 Chevy Silverado
This slick-looking ’91 Silverado has everything you’d want in a street truck. The smoothed out front and rear fascias give the truck a custom look, and the all-black paint and aggressive wheel/tire combo looks the business. Throw in a big old 454 under the hood, and you’ve got the kind of ride we’d love to cruise around in. Taking plenty of people by surprise, of course!
1951 Chevy Pickup
Few trucks sport the iconic style of a ’50s Chevy, and this 1951 five-window is one of the cleanest we’ve ever laid eyes on. Flawless bodywork and mile-deep paint make it a pleasure to look at. Especially since the truck sports iconic American Torq Thrust wheels and the perfect stance. With a small block under the hood and a comfy updated interior, we’d drive this classic Chevy anywhere!
