1954 Chevy Truck Delivers Both Drinks and Smiles
Classic Chevy five-window transports us back to a time when things like soda and smokes weren’t a bad thing!
When it comes to iconic American companies, you undoubtedly think of things like Chevrolet and Coca-Cola. So when you combine this nation’s favorite beverage with a classic 1954 Chevy truck, you’ve got an undeniable slice of Americana. Such is this five-window 3100 pickup, a rolling piece of history fit to serve as a museum piece.
We spotted the charming vintage Chevy truck over The Collector Car Network, where it’s currently listed for sale for nearly $40,000. And laying eyes upon that bright red bodywork instantly transformed us back to a simpler time. A time when things like sugar and nicotine weren’t evil and trucks were solely used as workhorses. Whether or not this particular pickup was used as such, we don’t know. But we do know that its working days are far behind it at this point.
From the red and white two-tone paint to the steelies and white whites, you won’t find any signs of manual labor here. A perfectly stained wooden bed and stakes proudly display that iconic Coca-Cola logo. The chrome shines like new, and like all the original trim, is still intact. A seldom seen Hydromatic automatic tranmission makes the already rare five-window even rarer.
That makes cruising around town even easier as the rebuilt Stovebolt 6-cylinder engine chugs away. We’d like to imagine doing so with crates of glass-bottled Coke in the back, making deliveries around town. But in reality, this beautiful Chevy truck is probably headed to some sort of old school museum display. Either way, it’s a true time-warp to a different era, and well worth saving!
