What’s more American than shooting off Chinese fireworks and grilling tasty meats? These Chevy trucks, that’s what.

We celebrate a number of important holidays here in the U.S., but few measure up to the significance of July 4th. Otherwise known as Independence Day, it’s a date that has been revered since 1776, even though it didn’t officially become a holiday until 1941. This was the day our nation essentially came to be, a day when delegates from 13 colonies adopted the Declaration of Independence. And ever since, we’ve been killing it as the greatest nation on earth.

So, while most people celebrate the 4th of July with Chinese-made explosives, delicious grilled meats, and tacky shirts, we prefer to do things a little differently. As in, mark the occasion with a host of cool, patriotic Chevy trucks. Thus, we rounded up eight of the finest examples we could find on the interwebs, from square-bodies to modern rigs.

In this day and age of custom vinyl wraps, showing off your patriotism is pretty darn easy. And that’s what you’ll see on most Chevy trucks these days. But infamous musician and outspoken public figure Kid Rock even commissioned his own badass patriotic Silverado a while back. And what says ‘Murica more than this thing?

Otherwise, you’ll find Old Glory on everything from local contractor-owned Chevy trucks to police Tahoes. And pretty much everything in between. But why not go full-on and get your own tailgate applique with Uncle Sam showing off his massive guns? Heck, he looks like he’s about to punch some Communist in the face. Which is what we like to imagine he does in his spare time.

So no matter how you like to celebrate the fourth, do it in style. Because that’s what being an American is all about. And there’s nothing more American than driving a flag-waving Chevy truck, that’s for sure!
