Beautiful Big Block ’69 Camaro for Sale in Chevrolet Forum Marketplace
GM probably didn’t know the ’69 Camaro was going to be such a massive hit, but this one’s incredibly easy to love.
Ask any GM fan what their favorite Camaro of all-time is, and you’ll find that the overwhelming majority will vote for the highly-coveted 1969 model. Widely considered the best-looking Camaro ever made, the ’69 is in a class all by itself. In fact, a poll of 125,000 fans voted it the best Chevy of all-time during the brand’s centennial celebration back in 2011. We tend to agree with that assessment, so we were obviously excited to find this gorgeous Hugger Orange ’69 up for grabs in the Chevrolet Forum Marketplace.
But this particular Camaro isn’t just your average ’69. It’s a 396 big block car, fully restored and numbers-matching. It’s painted one of the most iconic colors in GM’s illustrious history, and has a black interior to boot. The car looks absolutely immaculate, and shows just over 30,000 miles on the odometer. Truthfully, the only real dig against it is the fact that it packs a TH400 automatic instead of the more loved four-speed manual. But who really cares when you’re driving something this awesome?
For those that love this particular Camaro model, it’s easy to trace the roots of that desire. Automakers marketed relentlessly to the youths back in the ’60s. Those too young to drive were driven to automotive obsession thanks to Hot Wheels and other cool toys. And the ’69 Camaro was the cream of the proverbial crop at that time. Though it was much like the ’67 and ’68 in most regards, revised sheetmetal made all the difference. Today, most still consider it the best-looking Camaro ever made. No wonder GM has been trying to recapture that magic since the 5th gen debuted.
Throw in the fact that they’re easy to maintain and modify, and you’ve got a long-standing winner. These are all the reasons why we love the 1969 Camaro so much. Even though prices have shot through the roof as a result of that love. Seeing this beauty in the Marketplace only helped conjure up those fond memories for us. And now, we just hope that it finds the kind of owner who will appreciate it as much as we would. Who knows, maybe that person is you!
