BUILDUP A Stealth Chevy Express Project
Sometimes vans can make up some of the most fun and intriguing builds out there. After all, there are endless possibilities on what to do with them; it just depends on the goal of the project! Chevrolet Forum member Bluewhale has taken on a 2005 Chevy Express 3500 build, which is meant to be a stealth work van when completed. This is because, in New York, commercial vehicles are not allowed on parkways. Thus, there are great benefits to making the van appear as regular as any other daily driver ride. But that’s not to say that it won’t be wonderful anyway!
So far, Bluewhale has added a new chrome bumper, grille, and composite headlamps; replaced the beaten up steering wheel with one out of a Silverado; and swapped in a set of Astrovan seats, which includes velour, the armrest, and lumbar in the deal. He had also installed a flat, non-slip floor surface made of the highest exterior grade 3/4″ plywood as well as thrown on some factory chrome wheels and center caps as well as a set of General Grabbers to spice of the van’s looks. As of most recently, Bluewhale has tinted the windows 42% and is planning to go with an Aeroforce interceptor gauge for his ride.
