2003 Chevy Suburban with 8.1L V8 Is Even Better with a Dually Setup

It happens to everyone from time to time. That urge to go big or go home; to do it right or not do it at all. Usually you only get this feeling when it comes to things you love and care about. It has to be your passion, or you just won’t spend time doing it. Of course, once you find that thing, especially if it’s a truck, it’s worth putting the effort into.

‘I didn’t think having a big engine was enough.
I wanted the biggest EVERYTHING!’

When it comes to working on rides, some folks are a lot more passionate than others. They like to put in extra love and effort to create the perfect package. One of those people is Chevrolet Forum member Country Latin. He chose to sink a lot of blood, sweat and tears into his Chevy rig, and the results are outstanding.

Country Latin likes nothing but the biggest and the best in his choice of rigs. And, really, this is easy to understand. He is the proud owner of a 2003 Chevrolet Suburban 2500 with a factory 8.1L V8., or, as he calls it, “Burbzilla.”

“Of course, I didn’t think having a big engine was enough. I wanted the biggest EVERYTHING!” he writes on his Chevrolet Forum thread.

First, he got an Allison, the harness, modules and a one-ton rear end and springs. He then grabbed some Billstein shocks, dual rear wheels with matching fronts and custom dual fenders. After it was all added, Country Latin proudly exclaimed: “Bam! [Here’s] a TANK of a ‘Burban!” An accurate description, indeed.
