Chevy Avalanche Gets Caught in Stoplight Crossfire

Chevy driver stays cool in the middle of heated gunfire exchange.

In Pensacola, Florida, a Chevy Avalanche driver was unexpectedly caught in a brazen daytime gunfight while waiting at a stoplight. The driver, seen in the video in his Chevy Avalanche, was waiting for the light to turn at a busy intersection and remained calm as pandemonium broke out around him. The dramatic shootout was caught on a video by a nearby driver’s dashcam. One person has been arrested and another remains at large.

The Chevy was stopped at the light, next to a Toyota. According to the Tampa Bay Times, a silver Lexus driven by suspect Jonathan James Harris pulled up and began firing shots at the Toyota. Jeremy Olds, a passenger in the Toyota, jumped out of his car and hid behind the Chevy, returning fire. Thankfully no one was injured. Olds has been taken into custody, and Escambia County Sheriff’s Office deputies are still searching for Harris.

Good job to the Avalanche driver to maintaining his cool, not running the light, and basically serving as a bullet shield! And remember, let’s be careful out there.
