Chevy C10 Silverado Mashup Is Minty Retro Goodness

‘Chevy C10’ started life as a bone-stock, plain-Jane Silverado work truck. But now it’s something much cooler.

The retro pickup craze has reached peaked craziness in recent months. And it’s easy to see why. Most of us grow up lusting after the trucks built during our glory years, yet can’t really afford them. Then we reach the point in life where we’re a little more financially established. So we do the logical thing and start seeking out ways to relive our youth that don’t involve illegal activities or questionable decision making. Like combining the best of old and new – a 1967 Chevy C10 and a 2016 Silverado.

That’s precisely what the owner of this intriguing pickup did, and the results are rather impressive. We spied the new/old mashup on Facebook, where it’s garnered loads of attention – both positive and negative. But we think the builder did a pretty masterful job making these two very different things work well together, and that’s no easy task.

Especially when you consider what they started with – a bone stock, refrigerator white Silverado work truck. Transforming this modern rig into a classic Chevy C10 wasn’t just a case of grafting on a tailgate and front clip, either. Things like the fenders, bed sides, and hood had to be massaged to make it all work seamlessly together.
