Following a wildly successful but slightly problematic 2019, Alabama Truck Meet returns March 7 with more Chevy action.

If you’re a fan of wild, lifted Chevy trucks of all shapes and sizes, few events last year measured up to the insane Alabama Truck Meet. With thousands of people descending upon Montgomery Raceway Park in 2019, things admittedly got a little out of hand. Which forced event organizers to make a few rules changes this year. But that certainly won’t quell the fun.

ATM returns for 2020 on March 7, and it’s shaping up to be a can’t-miss event for Chevy truck fans. There, you’ll enjoy everything from dyno, burnout, and stereo competitions to a show ‘n shine and some drag racing. There will also be plenty of live music and awesome food to enjoy while you’re there, too. And as we’ve seen in the past, a slew of lifted Chevy pickups and SUVs.

Since things got slightly out of control at last year’s ATM gatherings, there are some new rules for 2020. Which basically just ask that you don’t do anything stupid, like let people hang all over your truck while you’re doing burnouts. And listen to law enforcement if needed. Seems pretty reasonable to us.

Your reward for good behavior is one of the coolest shows around. In addition to hundreds of awesome trucks, you can even camp out and party all night at the track. You can take your Chevy off-roading nearby, or sling around your dirt bike, UTV, or ATV.

Or, burn up that new set of pricey tires and show off for the crowd. After all, that’s what you bought them for, right?

And it isn’t just lifted trucks that are invited to ATM. As you can see from these pics of last year’s gathering, there was a pretty diverse mix in attendance.

Not to mention a massive, enthusiastic crowd. And they all share one thing in common – a love of trucks and one heck of a good time.

From stanced-out show machines to true, mud-slinging beasts, ATM has something for everyone. And in our book, that makes it well worth the trip.
