California Driver Crashes Chevy Into Pool, Flees

Thankfully, nobody was seriously hurt in this tale of drunken stupidity.

According to The Daily Mail, police are on high alert as they search for a woman who crashed a Chevy truck into a pool in California. It happened recently in Visalia when neighbors heard the commotion. Several people rushed to assist the motorist, including a passing UPS driver who pulled the woman out of the pool. According to the driver, the woman admitted to being drunk, and he then left to call the police. It was at this moment, the driver made a break for it and took off.

How nobody managed to see a drunk woman, who just plowed down a fence and crashed a Chevy into a pool, trying to run away is beyond us. Photos show at least a half-dozen empty beer cans floating in the pool, so it’s not likely the driver was “just buzzed.”

With the possible exception of the missing driver, there are no major injuries to report in this incident. The home in question belongs to 95-year-old Garabed Kechloian, and aside from the stunning news, he is taking it all in stride, stating: “I’m happy my dog wasn’t hurt.” We are too. Nothing worse than seeing harmless dogs caught in the crossfire of mankind’s follies.

If you live near the area and see a sopping-wet woman with potential cuts and bruises stumbling around, please call the authorities. There is no word on the condition of the Chevy truck or if it was stolen.

Drinking and driving is bad. Drinking and boating is bad. Trying to combine both is proof that natural selection lost its hold over mankind.
