SEMA 2019: Dusk Falls Upon Vegas via Special Edition Colorado ZR2

Colorado ZR2 Dusk Edition pairs ZR2 off-road package with gloss-black wheels, full-size spare, and ZR2 sport bar.
There’s nothing like spending the first few days of November in Las Vegas, where all sorts of badass rides gather under the big top of the Las Vegas Convention Center for the annual SEMA Show. You just never known what will pop up around the bend, though we hope it’s a cool Chevy truck.
And though the desert sun over Vegas is a welcome sight from the cold winds gathering across the rest of the country, there’s nothing like experiencing the sun set over the Strip, the colorful lights coming on. That then is the perfect time for the 2021 Colorado ZR2 Dusk Edition to roll out to the city from the sandy backdrop outside.

The Colorado ZR2 Dusk Edition starts with either a standard 3.6-liter V6, making 308 horses and 275 lb-ft of torque, or the optional 2.8-liter Duramax turbo-diesel inline-four, and its 186 stout horses and 369 lb-ft of torque. Either engine is linked to an eight-speed automatic, which transfers all of the power to the 17-inch wheels at the corners.
Speaking of those wheels, which are wrapped in all-terrain rubber, the Dusk Edition brings a full set of 17-inchers in gloss black to the Colorado ZR2, including a full-size spare mounted in the bed. Ahead of the spare and behind the cab is a sport bar with the ZR2 logo carved out on each side. The bar also has an off-road LED light bar mounted on top to provide tons of visibility from dusk ’til dawn.
Underneath the spare and sport bar, the bed is protected from whatever cargo is dropped in with a spray-in bedliner with the ZR2 logo printed upon it, the grill includes the “flowtie” Bow Tie to keep the air flowing, and the tailgate can be locked remotely.

The 2021 Colorado ZR2 Dusk Edition will arrive in showrooms at around the same time as the 2021 Colorado will, currently scheduled for late spring of 2020. No pricing for the package was announced at this time. No matter what, though, this is one truck that was made to play in the sand when the sun goes down.
