Chevy Will Continue to be Official Truck of NHRA
Partnership renewal will see Silverado and Suburban continue to be used on the track.
Fans of the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) have definitely seen a Chevrolet on the track. Ever since 2014, Chevrolet has been the official truck of the racing association. The American automaker has provided its Silverado trucks and Suburban SUVs to be used as emergency response vehicles and for track preparation.
Chevrolet and NHRA fans can breathe a sigh of relief as both companies recently announced that the longstanding partnership will continue.
“We look forward to continuing our partnership with Chevrolet as their products allow NHRA Safety Safari to provide support for racers at 24 events across the country,” said Graham Light, Senior V.P. of Racing Operations for NHRA. “[Chevy’s] vehicles are essential to the events and invaluable during the race weekends.”

In addition to providing its vehicles, Chevrolet will also get some branding rights, including recognition on NHRA.com, a sign at all NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series events, and video spots on television.
Chevrolet also has other vehicles that are involved in NHRA, as John Force, his daughter Courtney Force, and Robert Hight race 10,000-horsepower Camaro Funny Cars in the Mello Yello Drag Racing series.
