1950 Chevy 3100 Restoration

Rarely does a truck with this much love put into it show up for auction at such a reasonable price!

Modern Chevy trucks are great. The new Silverados provide all the comfort of a sedan with the power of a full-size pickup. But there’s something about those older model Chevy’s that just bring joy to the hearts of truck enthusiasts. That joy is exactly what we felt when we saw this listing for a 1950 Chevy 3100 over at Classic Cars.

While most of the Chevy trucks from that era that are up for auction are either really expensive or need a lot of work, the 3100 being sold now is in incredible condition and won’t make you open a second mortgage on your house. The real selling factor on this truck is how this truck is an original restoration. There’s no fancy modifications or shortcuts taken here. No, this is the 1950 3100 through and through. Well, minus the new tires, but that’s to be expected.

The interior of this truck is really impressive. The red and black is really great and it really does look like it time traveled from almost 70 years ago. The rebuilt engine only has 1997 miles since the restoration. The listing says that it runs and drives “wonderfully,” so there are no worries there. And for those worrying about the storage of the vehicle, fear not! The 3100 was “never left out or used in bad weather” and stored on a wood floor. It’s apparent that a lot of care went into this truck. All that’s great considering that the asking price is only $34,500.

If you’ve been mulling the idea of getting your hands on a mid-century Chevy, this is a great option!
