Spruce Up Your Silverado HD with a Custom Sport Package
Let’s face it, pickup truck are expensive. But let’s say you want to get a new truck but can’t afford all the bells and whistles, but still want it to look nice? Chevrolet’s answer to that very problem is the Custom Sport 2500 and 3500 HD pickups.
When you buy a work, or entry-level, truck, you’re often stuck with unpainted plastic bumpers and bland looking wheels. These very types of trucks aren’t often made available for review by journalists because they don’t photograph as nicely as a loaded $70,000 sled.
The Custom Sport package is available on LT and LTZ models and adds the following niceties to your truck; body-colored front and rear bumpers, a body-colored grille with chrome-accent bars, chrome door handles and body-side moldings, and chrome-accented trailering mirrors.
On the 2500 HD, you get 20″ polished aluminum wheels. On the 3500 HD your polished aluminum wheels are 18″ on the single-axle rear, and 17″ on the dually.
These upgrades will cost anywhere between $700 and $1,695, depending on the model. Getting the Custom Sport does limit your exterior color options to Summit White or Black.
