How to Watch the New Chevy 2020 C8 Corvette Reveal Live
Chevrolet officially unveils the new mid-engine Corvette on July 18. Check out the livestream to watch it live!
After a long, long wait, the new C8 Corvette is here! Almost. Tomorrow, Chevrolet will finally let us see the newest generation of the iconic sports car. The all-new, mid-engine 2020 C8 Corvette promises to be a groundbreaking car, and a big boom for Chevy.
“There is a large contingent of Corvette fans across the world waiting for the reveal of the Next Generation,” said Barry Engle, executive VP and president for GM in the Americas, in a recent statement. “We’re happy to give these fans, and all sports car enthusiasts, a way to see and learn about the vehicle at the same time as those participating live in California.”
So, enough waiting, already! Let’s drop that camo and see what we’re working with!
When and Where?
The big reveal will start at 7:30 PDT, 10:30 EST. You can watch the livestream on Chevrolet’s website. To keep up with the news, or watch the replay, you can also check out Corvette’s Facebook page, Chevrolet’s YouTube, Chevrolet’s Twitter account, and Instagram. Of course, check in with our sister site Corvette Forum, as they will be on the scene, taking in all the action.
The event will be held in Tustin, California. It is not open to the public. But automotive journalists and a group of lucky Corvette fans will be in attendance for the historical reveal. We expect a few words from the executives at General Motors beforehand. Maybe a look back at the Corvette history.
After the C8 debut, Chevy will be hitting the road with the 2020 ‘Vette, embarking on a nationwide tour to dealerships across the United States. Dates and locations have not yet been announced. But General Motors will be posting the information on Chevrolet and Corvette’s various social media sites.
On the tour, Chevrolet dealers want to showcase the new mid-engine supercar to enthusiasts. There will be interactive displays, automotive experts on hand, and an opportunity to see a variety of customizable parts.
“With all the excitement around this vehicle, we don’t want people to have to wait to experience it in person,” said Engle. “Our national tours will bring the Next Generation car right to our customers’ US Chevrolet dealership, where they can start imagining themselves in their very own personalized mid-engine Corvette.”
We are very excited to see the 2020 Corvette, and would love to know what you think. Join in the chat in the forums, or head over to Corvette Forums for more ‘Vette talk.
