1989 Chevrolet Silverado
Hello,
Looking to get some opinions on what a 1989 Chevy Silverado long bed is worth before I purchase it. My uncle is selling his and he said it looks and drives like new. I know he does take care of his vehicles. I also know he is going to sell it to someone else for $500 more than what he will sell it to me for. And I know that short beds are worth more but I'm getting it to use as a work truck, not to modify for resell. I'm going to look at it on Sunday but the details are:

- Regular cab
- 5.7 L V8
- 5-speed manual
- 2WD
- 8' truck bed with camper
- New clutch and slave cylinder
- New alternator and battery
- New tires
- No air conditioning
- No power windows
- No power locks
- Not sure on the mileage yet but I think it is under 150,000

Yes, short bed trucks are more popular than the long beds. Also, I myself don't care for 5 speed trannys but than again if you are using it as a work truck ,that might be ideal for you. He has put some money in it, for example new tires and a few other things. If you have no use for the camper, you can always sell it and make a few dollars on it. I myself would not pay more than $1500 for it but than again, this is just my opinion. Sorry, just noticed that this post is already a month old. By now, you are probably driving this truck.
