1990 k1500 with 350 rough idle running rich
II have replaced egr valve, EGR solenoid TBI sensor air intake sensor, plugs wires, map sensor... Obd 1 error code 34 map sensor I have replaced it twice with new sensor and I'm still getting code 34 map sensor ??? When I remove the vacuum hose from the EGR valve it does not make any difference at all in running. Any suggestion on what I should do
I have heard code 34 can be a slew of things if changing out, the map sensor makes no difference
Make sure all your engine/wiring for your electrical is grounded and all your fuses are good.
Are there any leaks or holes in your vacuum tubes or hoses?
Lastly, your ECM might be going bad or not connected fully. Your ECM is located behind your glove box. There's a glove box tray that you unbolt pull out and your ECM should be accessible from there. There's also three large relays, they look like square nodes. Two of these three could also be your issue.
The best way to see if your ECM is going bad is go to a junkyard, buy another one and put it in or borrow a friends that you know is working and put it in and see if you're experiencing the same problems. Same with the air flow intake and overflow relays next to it.
