1993 350 knocking
Hoping someone can give me a couple ideas of wear to start looking to fix my knock. I have a 1993 chevy K1500 with a 5.7L 350 with 200k miles on it. Its mostly all original, it’s had a water pump, distributor and an alternator put nothing major replacement. I do regular oil changes and keep it up. The past couple days it has developed a knock on the lower part of the engine on the passenger side. It starts only when the engine gets up to operating temperature. The oil pressure doesn’t drop when the knock starts, but it looses about half it’s power when knocking. I replaced the spark plugs in it today, it helped but the knock is still there, all the wires looked good. Any ideas? Where would be a good place to start looking?
