I’ve been working on this truck for a while put in a new used motor and transmission and when driving it shifts perfectly fine no issues.. but when giving it wot in any gear it will redline and it will act like it’s in neutral I know it’s supposed to down shift but I’m not a know it all when it comes to transmissions.. I’ve read on a few other forums and they have had the issue and said it’s most likely the torque converter any help would be appreciated thanks.

It could be the TCM is malfunctioning. I'd take it to a shop or independent tech and see what their pro-scanners have to say.
