Default 1995 doors

The problem... my 1995 W/T has only 80,000 miles so I am somewhat restoring it a little at a time. I did the cab corners and rockers already, replaced the two fenders and repainted the grill. I still have some problems but the box is not one of them and I think it was replaced before I bought it. It is rust free, no bondo and "perfect" except for the tailgate. The tailgate is rusting out in the usual area, the bottom, and I found a guy who sells Texas parts and he has one for $200 that is perfect. It is for a GMC and that badge comes off easily.... so it is a good deal instead of doing he endless rust repair.... Now for the question... My two doors are also rusting out on the bottom.... Eventually, I think the Texas parts seller will have a couple rust free doors for it which I would prefer instead of rust repair.... and right now, he has one... the passenger side door... It is only $95 and the reason for that is that it has a very fixable dent but no rust. The guts of the door have also been stripped out so it is basically a shell.... Now, I don't know much about this $95 rust free door.... I obviously know what I have..... which is a manual Work Truck door.... manual door locks, crank windows etc.... I would have to transfer the guts of my existing rusty door to the new door which doesn't scare me all that much but I need an answer about one possible problem.... The rust free door shell that I am thinking of buying.... if it was from a nicer model truck (IE a Silverado) and had power door locks and power windows etc., will the parts from my manual door transfer without some major modifications? In other words, lay the two doors side by side and start transferring the guts for my rusty door to the rust free shell.... Will things "bolt right up" or not? Any advice on this would be appreciated... from someone who has been there and done that.... If this is possible, I might just buy the rust free door shell and work on that, and then wait for the driver's side door to come from Texas at another time..... Would like to get this all done before the fishing opener!!!! Thanks again.... Dennis

I have a 92 cheyenne that I just completely rebuilt...from what I learned doing that is yes you should be fine...you'll need to change the inner panel of course...the window track is removable but it's riveted in so it's just easier to change the whole panel...you'll need to have someone to hold the window inside the door to fit the tracks together...its annoying but not hard..also be careful the outside handles are pot metal..I broke mine bolting it back it,it's from 92 just old and brittle...you can get all the parts on Amazon really cheap.. the whole job looks hard but it's not I did mine in like an hour with my son helping hold stuff ....good luck on your build ....I'm rebuilding my 92 the same way..little bit at a time..🤟
