1997 chevy C1500 with 250k miles worth 3k ?
1997 Chevy C1500 -Trade- im looking at trading that truck for my 1992 ford f350 crew cab long bed he says its got all new heads and gaskets as of 10k miles ago What do you guys think ? is it worth it ? if so what should i look for upon meetup ?
That truck wasn't built for 37's that's for sure. Turning those tires with stock gears will destroy a 4l60 pretty fast. Not to mention the strain on the rest of a 1/2 ton drivetrain.

If it has (4:10,4:56,or4:88) it should be good. I'd assume the trans has had a rebuild at some point in the last 250k. If it was built right, even better.
If it has stock gears It's got to be pretty gutless with those tires. I had a truck with 33's 3:42 gears behind a 5.7/nv4500 and it seemed gutless to me.
