So Last night I had to change my oil pump due to low pressure. I changed it put in 5w 30 and then started the truck. Everything was great oil pressure good. But then I was driving to my Grandparents and i lost oil pressure completely and it started knocking luckily I was 1.5 miles from a friends house so I stopped and shut it off. I changed the oil filter put in 10w 30 still nothing. Someone please help I need this truck for work.

 

Curious mileage on motor & what was psi prior to pump change & any noise before change?

Thanks! Well, it now has 216k on it prior to the the oil pump change it was 45 then within a few weeks dropped to 24psi. So I though it was the oil pump especially after changing my oil and filter trying all sorts of volosities. Now I'm get straight 0

 

You have to pull the pan and check the oil pump to make sure nothing came loose or clogged the pickup.
