1998 Z71 ext cab: What is this connection for?!?!?!?

1998 Z71 ext cab: What is this connection for?!?!?!?
Where does this connect to? I noticed this unplugged red connector tucked in between the oil cooler lines. Its near the front of the engine by the crank sensor. The wire isnt very long so i figured itll be for something in that general area but couldnt find anything that it might belong to. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Truck runs a drives drives fine. 1998 z71 ext cab. 150k miles. Rebuilt 5.7 vortec with cam by reputable shop.
