Default 4l60e4x4 compatability questions

(Main question)This is my first time on here. I have a 93 chevy cheyenne k1500 with the 4.3 vortec. My transmission seems to be failing and I am looking into replacing it with a used transmission. I was wondering what years of transmissions I can use. I have read that the transmissions changed ever couple years. I am willing to swap out parts from my old transmission to make it work but I don't know what will work year wise, if it has to be from a vehicle that had the 4.3, and if it has to be from a 1500 pickup (as opposed 2500/3500, suburbans, etc).

(the transmission issues)BTW the failures I noticed are (currently) I can feel a grinding/juttering in first gear while accelerating, before I put Lucas oil trans fix it made a grinding noise when shifting but always succesfully shifted, and also before the transmission fix stuff it would make a clunking noise and feeling. The last two did go away with the transmission fix liquid stuff.

(Kinda unrelated issues) i also question is my vss is going bad. Sometimes when coming to a stop at about 1 or 2 mph the antilocks suddenly engage. Then when accelerating my speedometer suddenly jumps to 30 and comes back down to my speed.

Since you have OBD I, I'd stick with a transmission for that fact alone.
