Default 4L80E problems

hello, I don;t have experience with this transmission so any advice would be apreciated

4L80E transmission - with Jake's standalone controller (fully manual)

- with driveline connected - when trying to put on Park is making a lot of noise (crancking)
- oil come out from the dipstick

please advice

First off if oil is coming out of the dipstick, you might have too much air pressure in the transmission. You need to check the that the vent is clear.else you could blow seals out. I don't know what Jake's controller is but maybe that i your issue. The only Jake I know is a Jakob's brake on a semi-truck, as device that uses the valves
to slow the truck down.

New device to me. However I don't think that would be the cause of oil overflow.

You need to check to see if your transmission fluid is clean or overfilled. Its possible that the radiator transmission fluid cooler, is allowing water to seep into the cooler, raising the level of the fluid and will damage the transmission.If so you'll need to buy a new radiator and flush your transmission fluid out, and change the filter
