93' K1500 5.7L Won't Start
I just bought this truck a couple days ago and it has since quit running. I got it running once but I think it was just dumb luck. I found it had no spark but, without doing much, the spark came back. I can see its getting fuel spraying in the fuel barrell. I put a test light on the connection to the ignition coil and have power there when the key is on. When I have my son try to start the truck I get no light from the coil to the distributor. I bought a cheap new coil from the local parts store but I get the same result. Is there something else that would affect the coil not getting spark to the distributor? It appears that the previous owner recently installed a new cap/rotor/wires/plugs. I have a chilton manual and all the other tests require an ohm meter and I do not have one. So I have turned to the internet. Thanks.
