Default 96 C3500 4L80e diagnosis

I am trying to diagnose my 4L80 after an emergency stop while downshifting. The action saved totaling two vehicles, but resulted in the fluid blowing out of the front seal. I replaced front and rear seals. I spun the torque converter by hand and it pumped fluid from the cooling line ports. The torque converter shaft has very minor groves. re-installed in transmission in vehicle, but still leaks from the front seal quite a bit, and makes a clicking noise from the torque converter. I am thinking the torque converter may need replacement. Are there any other components that would make the fluid blow by the front seal?
